The short version: buy credits, spend them on interviews, keep whatever you say and upload. The AI interviewer is practice, not a hiring verdict. Do not abuse the service or upload things that are not yours. If something goes wrong, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months — and if you think a charge was a mistake, write to us and we will sort it out.

The agreement
By accessing or using RoundAlpha you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which is incorporated into them by reference. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the service.
If you use RoundAlpha on behalf of a company — in particular through the hiring workspace — you confirm that you have the authority to bind that company, and “you” in these terms means both you and it.
Where we have signed a separate written agreement with your organisation, that agreement takes precedence over these terms wherever the two conflict.

Who may use RoundAlpha
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract where you live. RoundAlpha is a professional tool and is not offered to children.
You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, or if we have previously closed your account for a breach of these terms.
You are responsible for complying with the laws of the country you use RoundAlpha from, including any rules about recording your own voice and about processing a candidate's data if you are hiring.

Your account
You need an account to practice. We sign you in with a one-time code or with Google — there is no password for you to lose — but the email address, phone number and device you sign in from are still yours to protect.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@roundalpha.com if you suspect somebody else has access to it.
Accounts are personal. Do not share your account, let another person sit an interview in your name, or create an account on somebody else's behalf without their knowledge.

What RoundAlpha is — and is not
RoundAlpha builds an interview from your CV, conducts it live with an AI interviewer, and returns a scored report with evidence drawn from your own answers. Some interview formats include working steps — writing code, or drawing a system design on the canvas — which are graded alongside what you said.
It is a rehearsal tool. It is not a recruitment agency, not a certification body, not a career-advice service, and not an employer. A RoundAlpha report does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or any hiring outcome whatsoever.

Credits, pricing and payment
Interviews run on credits. Credits are a one-time purchase, they do not expire, and they are not a subscription — nothing renews and nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy more.
A personal practice interview costs one credit. A hiring interview you send to a candidate costs more, and the exact amount is always shown before you send the invitation. A credit is consumed when a new interview begins; rejoining a session you have already started never costs another one.
Prices are shown before checkout. Taxes may apply depending on where you are. Payments are processed by our payment provider under their own terms — card and bank details are entered on their checkout and never reach us.
We may change our prices at any time. A change never affects credits you have already bought; it applies only to purchases you make after it takes effect.
Free credits granted for trials or promotions buy a short practice round rather than a full-length interview, are for personal practice only, cannot be used to invite candidates, have no cash value, and may be withdrawn if the promotion is abused.

Refunds and cancellations
Because a credit unlocks a service delivered the moment it is used, spent credits are non-refundable. Where the law gives you a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase, that right applies and is not affected by anything in this section.
Unspent credits: if you have bought credits you have not used and you want your money back, write to us. We will refund the unused balance to the original payment method where we reasonably can.
If a charge was made in error, an interview failed for a reason on our side, or a credit was consumed by a session that never actually ran, tell us and we will restore the credit or refund it. We would rather fix a bad session than keep the money for one.

Hiring accounts and candidate invitations
The hiring workspace is a separate kind of account. It lets you define roles, send interview invitations, and read the reports candidates produce.
Sending an invitation sets aside that interview's credits the moment the link is created, so a candidate is never turned away at the door because your balance moved. Revoke an unused invitation, or let it expire before the candidate takes it, and those credits return to your balance.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to invite each candidate and to process what they share with you. You must tell candidates that the interview is conducted and scored by AI, give them your own privacy notice, and keep a human being in charge of any decision that affects them.
You may use candidate reports only to assess that candidate for the role you invited them to. You may not use them to build a profile, sell them, share them outside your hiring team, or feed them into an unrelated system.
A candidate's report is prepared for the employer and is not shown to the candidate. Anything the candidate goes on to do with their own account afterwards — their own practice, their own CVs — is private to them and never visible to you.

If you are a candidate taking an invited interview
If you reached RoundAlpha through an employer's invitation, these terms govern your use of the product, and the interview you sit is prepared for that employer.
The account you receive is yours to keep. You are free to use it for your own practice afterwards, and doing so is entirely private.
The employer decides how your report is used in their process. Questions about the role, the decision or their retention of your data should go to them, not to us.

Acceptable use
RoundAlpha exists to help people prepare honestly. You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or confidentiality.
- Impersonate another person, sit an interview on somebody else's behalf, or misrepresent who you are to a hiring account.
- Use the service to harass, defame or discriminate against anyone, or to generate unlawful, hateful or harmful content.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, scrape, reverse-engineer or circumvent any part of the service, its rate limits or its access controls.
- Use automated means to create accounts, claim free credits, or extract questions, prompts or model output in bulk.
- Resell, sublicense, white-label or commercially redistribute access to RoundAlpha without our written permission.
- Use the product to build or train a competing model or service.
We may investigate suspected breaches and take whatever action is proportionate — from a warning, to withdrawing free credits, to closing the account.

The AI interviewer and your report
The questions, follow-ups, feedback and scores are generated by artificial intelligence. They are guidance for practice — not professional career advice, not an assessment of your worth, and not the decision of any real employer.
AI systems get things wrong. A report can misread an answer, miss the point of a strong one, or score inconsistently between sessions. Treat it as one coaching signal you can act on, not as an absolute measure of ability.
We do not warrant that any interview will resemble a specific company's real process, that a score predicts an outcome, or that following the feedback will get you hired.

Your content and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of everything you bring: your CV, your answers, your code, your diagrams and anything else you produce in a session.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, transcribe and process that content solely to operate the service and produce your reports, and to keep doing so for as long as you keep the content in your account. The licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
We do not use your content to train AI models, ours or anyone else's, and we do not licence it to anyone for that purpose.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that sharing it with us does not breach a confidentiality obligation you owe somebody else — a CV describing work you cannot discuss is still your responsibility.

Our intellectual property
RoundAlpha — the software, the interview engine, the question banks, the scoring rubrics, the site, the name and the marks — belongs to us and our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for its intended purpose while your account is in good standing.
The report generated from your own interview is yours to keep, share and use however you like. The system that generated it is not.

Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or bug reports, you give us the right to use them freely and without obligation — no compensation, no confidentiality, no attribution. This does not give us any right to the content of your interviews, which is covered above.

Third-party services
RoundAlpha depends on third-party providers — cloud hosting, an AI model provider, a payment processor, message delivery, and Google Sign-In if you choose it. Their availability and their terms are outside our control, and an outage at one of them can interrupt the service.
Links from this site to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not endorse them and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Availability, changes and beta features
We work to keep RoundAlpha reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, outages or events outside our reasonable control.
We may add, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you paid for and cannot offer a fair equivalent, tell us and we will refund the affected credits.
Some features are released as previews or betas. They are experimental, may change or disappear without notice, and are excluded from any service commitment.

Suspension and termination
You can stop using RoundAlpha whenever you like and close your account from your profile. Closing an account deletes your CVs, sessions and reports as described in the privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, creates a security or legal risk, is used fraudulently, or is used in a way that could harm other users or the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will refund unspent credits. If we close it because of a breach, unspent credits are forfeit.
The sections that by their nature should survive termination — your content licence for content you have not deleted, our intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive it.

Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that transcription will be accurate, that scores will be consistent, or that any defect will be corrected.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoundAlpha and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or a job you did not get.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or INR 5,000.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. Where that is the case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent that jurisdiction allows.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold RoundAlpha harmless from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you upload, your breach of these terms or of any law, or — if you use the hiring workspace — a claim brought by a candidate about how you used their interview or their data.
We will notify you of any such claim and let you control the defence, provided you do not settle it in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our consent.

Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, and you and we submit to that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in the country you live in, or of your right to bring a claim in your local courts where that law gives you one.
Before starting formal proceedings, please write to us. Almost everything is faster to fix by email than by lawyer, and we mean that sincerely.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
For material changes we will give notice in the product or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use RoundAlpha after that means you accept the revised terms; if you do not, close your account and we will refund any unspent credits.

General
Entire agreement — these terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the service, and replace anything said or written beforehand.
Severability — if a court finds any provision unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is narrowed to the minimum extent needed to make it valid.
No waiver — if we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
Assignment — you may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Force majeure — neither of us is liable for a failure caused by something genuinely outside our reasonable control.
